The 4th of July Celebration in Bolinas is Back!
The Briones Lions Club
is proud to present:
Bolinas 4th of July Celebration, 2023
Schedule of Events:
9:00 am - Tug-of-War- Stinson Beach vs. Bolinas across the Bolinas Lagoon- women's, followed by men's.
10:00 am - Parade Line-up- Wharf Rd, beginning at the museum. Vehicular/float access for parade closes at 10:00 am. Plan to be there early!
*NOTE: Parade participants may no longer toss items from Floats. Items may be handed out by ushers.
10:00 am – Briones Lions BBQ & Tug of War T-shirt sales begin- Cash sales only
11:00 am - Parade, Music – Wharf Road & Brighton Ave.
1:00 pm – Beach Games – Brighton Beach
Important Information to Note:
8:00 am to 5:00 pm- Motor vehicle access to downtown will be restricted.
Roadblock /Traffic Control Locations
Intersection of Olema-Bolinas Road & Mesa Road.
Intersection of Olema-Bolinas Road, Wharf Road & Brighton Avenue.
Intersection of Overlook Drive & Terrace Avenue/Ocean Parkway
$10 Parking available at Mesa Park
Free Shuttle - (8:00 am - 5:00 pm): From Mesa Park to downtown (Corner of Wharf Road & Brighton Avenue) and back.
Pedestrian & Bicycle Pathways entering town, and from the Bolinas Mesa & Mesa Park to the downtown area are open & well-marked.
Handicap and Senior Citizen drop-off & pick-up (at the corner Wharf Road & Brighton Avenue)
is available upon request, conditions permitting, at the Olema-Bolinas Road/Mesa Road Roadblock. Access may be permitted, or denied, at the discretion of the Traffic Control Staff, B.V.F.D. Officers & Police Officers at any time.No Vehicular Access to Downtown permitted between 10:30 am to 12:30 pm (no exceptions)
Sheriff's Deputies will be on hand to help keep this event safe, and to remind folks that parking regulations will be strictly enforced.
No Fireworks!! There is a "No-Tolerance" Policy on all Fireworks.
No Fires!! On the Beach (or anywhere else).
Community Volunteers and Police Officers will be on-hand and available.
Please report any fireworks and fire activity by calling 9-1-1 with the details.

The Stinson Beach & Bolinas Briones Lions Club working in conjunction with Megan Matson, Lisa Herbert, Will Bartlett, Emmy Luchetti, Bolinas Fire Protection District, Stinson Beach Volunteer Fire Department, Marin County Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol, Point Reyes National Seashore, Seadrift Association, Seadrift Security, BCPUD, Fire House Community Park, Smiley's Schooner Saloon, Bolinas Market, local businesses and community volunteers.

That's right! For the first time in three years, the Briones Lions, together with a small group of very creative individuals, are determined to bring back all the 4th of July traditions that the residents of Stinson Beach and Bolinas have come to know and love. The Tug of War, The Parade, The BBQ, The Beach Games and Music are all back!
LIMITED ACCESS TO DOWNTOWN BOLINAS DURING THE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Dear Friends, Neighbors and Guests:
In order to maintain full access for emergency services during our 4th of July Celebration in Bolinas, please note the following:
Between the hours of 8am and 5pm, on July 4th, the roads leading to downtown Bolinas will be closed to vehicular traffic. Limited access will be given to the residents and merchants of the downtown area, Brighton, Wharf, Little Mesa,
Park Ave. and Terrace neighborhoods. There will be no access between the hours of 10:30am and 12:30pm due to the parade.
Traffic Control Points will be located at the intersections of Olema-Bolinas & Mesa Roads, Terrace Ave. & Overlook Dr., and Wharf Rd. & Brighton Ave.
Limited Senior and Handicap Parking will be available in the downtown area and accessed via the Olema-Bolinas & Mesa Roads traffic control point.
$10 Parking Available at Mesa Park
From 8am to 5pm, A free shuttle service will be provided to between Mesa Park and downtown.
Parade Participants should plan to arrive before 10am.
Business Owners are well advised to reschedule any deliveries to avoid the 4th of July. Inform entertainers and employees needing vehicular access to arrive before 10am. Off-Street Parking is essential.
Residents, of the downtown and adjacent neighborhoods, please advise any guests or renters to arrive July 3rd. to avoid any access issues at the Traffic Control points on the 4th.
All Parking and Traffic Ordinances will be enforced.
Keeping Bolinas and its residence and guests safe is our primary goal. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
